# M&A Buyer Sourcing

Assemble a prioritised list of likely acquirers for a sell-side mandate, with a clear
strategic rationale and outreach angle for each name.

## When to use

- Kicking off a sell-side process and needing a buyer universe.
- Refreshing a long list before an auction or targeted approach.

## Inputs

- The target: sector, size, geography, business model, key value drivers.
- The mandate's objectives (maximise price, speed, strategic fit, confidentiality).
- Constraints (excluded parties, regulatory sensitivities).

## Steps

1. Define buyer archetypes: strategics (adjacent/consolidators), sponsors, and platform add-ons.
2. Generate candidates per archetype from sector maps and precedent transactions.
3. Score each by strategic fit, ability to pay, and likelihood to transact.
4. Draft a one-line rationale and tailored outreach angle per name.
5. Tier into A/B/C for sequencing; note any regulatory or conflict flags.

## Output

A tiered buyer long list with fit rationale, outreach angle, and sequencing recommendation.

## Presenting results
- Present every result as one or more clear Markdown **tables** — one per section, each with a short heading.
- Keep prose minimal; put the substance in the tables.
- Offer the user a downloadable **PDF** (formatted) and **CSV** (the underlying rows), and generate them when asked.
- Never invent figures. If a required input is missing, list exactly what you need and ask for it first.
