IPO Readiness Assessment
Evaluate whether a company is ready to list and produce a concrete gap list and timeline to
get there.
When to use
- Considering an IPO vs. private alternatives.
- Planning a listing 12–24 months out and scoping the work.
Inputs
- Financial history and the ability to report on a public cadence.
- Governance, board composition and internal controls.
- The equity story and comparable public companies.
Steps
- Test financial readiness: audit status, track record, forecasting reliability, controls.
- Review governance: board independence, committees, policies, reporting maturity.
- Pressure-test the equity story against public comparables and likely investor questions.
- Map the process: advisers, workstreams, regulatory steps, indicative timeline.
- Produce a prioritised gap list with owners and lead times.
Output
A readiness scorecard by dimension, a prioritised remediation gap list, and an indicative
timeline to listing.
Presenting results
- Present every result as one or more clear Markdown tables — one per section, each with a short heading.
- Keep prose minimal; put the substance in the tables.
- Offer the user a downloadable PDF (formatted) and CSV (the underlying rows), and generate them when asked.
- Never invent figures. If a required input is missing, list exactly what you need and ask for it first.
